It is sad... I've heard several people say recently that there are no bees in their yards to pollinate their vegetables... We must learn to live in harmony with the earth. It's wonderful to see so many garden bloggers committed to this.
I try to follow Ghandi's advice and be the change I want to see in the world and change my own little patch. I do hope you'll continue your blog after moving. You write so beautifully and I so enjoy your peaceful nature. I look forward with you to the lovely possibilities a new and sunnier garden brings.
Cat, that quote from Gandhi is one of my favorites. I'm reading his autobiography and find it fascinating in so many ways - his love of the Sermon on the Mount, yet trenchant critique of many Christians for not following Christ's call to serve the poor. I also was amazed to read that in his early life he was so shy that he failed many times in even being able to read a speech in public...
I appreciate the encouragement... I definitely plan to continue the blog and can't wait to show you all the new garden. There doesn't appear to be as much of a deer problem in that part of Raleigh. Unprotected day lilies everywhere! Yay!
Yes, please do keep blogging. Yours is, obviously, one of my favorites! The bee colony collapse is very sad. I hope there are some resolutions to some of these troubling trends.
