Random Exotic Photos

I have been away in Florida on somewhat of an Internet-free holiday. I took lots of photographs. Too many, perhaps, because now I have to decide which ones to include in my next post. In the meantime, here are a few random photos to enjoy - photos that are not predominantly brown!

Roseate spoonbill and ibis, St. Petersburg, Fla.

Brassolaeliocattleya Momalani Rainbow 'The Gypsy'

New Year's Eve sunset, Fort DeSoto North Beach, Fla.

Wow, great photos! I love the Orchids! It looks/sounds like you had a wonderful, restful getaway. I'll look forward to seeing more of your photos!

Gail, yes, that's one of my favorite sunset photos.

Beth, the orchids were photographed at the Marie Selby gardens in Sarasota. The garden specializes in bromeliads and orchids and is truly stunning. Marvelously exotic, with tropical plants from all of the world, both outside and in the greenhouse. I hope to do a post on the garden soon. (Don't tell my native plants).

Gorgeous sunset! It is nice to see some color when everything is so brown right now. An internet free holiday sounds heavenly!
