I try to find beauty in many things, but crows do not usually make it easy for me. However, your photos of the crows against the lovely view adds much beauty to their form.

Sage, I have never taken photographs of crows before. But they were beautiful silhouetted against the water - probably more so because they were silent!

Crows are hard to like because they are scavengers, but as I have learned about them as totem animals in ancient cultures they hold a prestigious place. They represent sacred law in native and ancient cultures. They foretell the future, of changes coming. They mean integrity and walking your talk and addressing issues that are out of balance with sacred law. Of course for most of us they signal fall as we hear their almost mournful call. Your pics capture them against a beautiful backdrop..

Donna, that's fascinating info about crows. I wonder what they're foretelling today? I fear many changes are coming.

I love that you have photos of crows for wordless Wednesday. I can hear the crows talking to one another just looking at the photo.

Great captures! I think they have very pretty feathers but they can be really annoying in many other ways. They all serve a purpose!

Heather, I'm always amazed at what ends up in my blog. I never recognized the beauty of crows before, though I have mellowed in my previous dislike of them.

Karin, I wonder why so many of us (myself included) consider crows to be annoying. They're loud, social, greedy and opportunistic, without enough beauty to compensate. Perhaps they're too much like people? But they are part of creation, and I'm glad I was able to see them in a different light.
